| Special clutches are designated for heavy duty applications in trucks, utility vehicles and tractors. Regarding their construction they are distinct for their massiveness, cast iron cover and large pressure plates used because of high temperature strain. Thrust power is produced by wound thrust springs. As special clutches transfer large amounts of energy they are designed as double-plate clutches. Clutches are controlled mechanically by a system of forged and hardened steel levers. |
